Remodeling needs
We seek people who are experienced in remodeling to join in our efforts to make our Makerspace more livable and inviting to our members and visitors. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, Mobile Makerspace does not have a large income for these remodeling projects. If you or your organization can donate materials, time, and/or expertise to these remodeling projects, we can make a trade in kind for membership and/or provide recognition of your generosity by adding your name or your company's name to a permanently affixed plaque in the remodeled areas. Please contact us if you have an interest in helping in these remodeling areas:
- The bathroom needs complete remodel to enlarge it, move the door to the hallway, and make ADA compliant
- Need to rearrange plumbing in the foundation to move toilet and vanity
- Need to extend plumbing for kitchenette and utility sink projects
- Need to move a wall to expand (metal studs and sheet rock)
- Toilet is serviceable but old. Could use a replacement
- Need a new vanity - ADA compliant
- Small hot water tank (or small tankless system!) would be nice (electric only)
- Tile flooring
- Fixtures for ADA compliance
- Lighting and ventilation
- Kitchenette needs to be built in the clean room
- Cabinets (overhead and under counter)
- Counter top with sink (water and drain supplied from bathroom project)
- Refrigerator
- Utility sink in dirty room
- Water and drain to be supplied from bathroom project
- Other remodeling needs
- Vinyl Wall base (flexible baseboards) around all the walls of every room
- Floor covering in hallway - probably vinyl tile
- Doors hung in the front hallway for entrance into clean room and dirty room to help with noise and dust
- Flooring in clean room and dirty room - currently, mostly just concrete

Other needs
- We have a large 220v 60 gallon air compressor that needs electrical work. Requires a licensed electrician.
- Existing 220v circuit in rigid conduit needs to be extended about 12 feet (we already have the extended rigid conduit, wire and circuit breaker).
- Compressor needs direct wiring to this extended 220v circuit
- Compressor still needs to be bolted to the floor
- Need all air plumbing, including piping, hoses, connectors, dryers, valves, gauges, regulators, etc. We do not have these items.
- Acoustic enclosure needs to be built around the air compressor
- We have a central dust collection system that needs plumbing
- Need hoses, adapters, valves (gates) installed from blower to the shop tools. We do not have these items.
- We have a 10ft x 10ft walk-in paint booth
- Currently not connected in the breaker box. Need electrical connection and would also like a power switch and e-stops installed inside and outside the booth. Requires a licensed electrician.
- Need filters. We currently do not have these items, and they were missing when we moved in.
Tools
Mobile Makerspace is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Many of your tool donations can be tax deductible. However, we also have tools that remain the property of the owner but are made available to the members of the Makerspace. If you have a tool that you are not using any more, let us know. We may also accept your tools that are not in working order in most circumstances if they can be repaired or used for parts.
- Jointer
- Craftsman jointer needs new blades and they are hard to find.
- The Delta jointer has a broken fence (partially repaired). See meeting minutes from MAY 4 2019
